LOL Jmirawm, everyone enjoy their holiday! It's kind of nice having that day in the middle of the week, though I'm happy that it usually turns into a 3 or 4 day weekend. We let out at 3 today and it was so nice. I'd already been to the gym, tanned and visited my friend by the time I'd normally just be getting off work.

Happy Independence Day!!

Happy 4th to all in the US and all the ex-pats of course. Also a belated happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadian Members. I meant to start a July 1st thread but forgot.

Robert and friends~

Happy Independence Day.. and 567 Days until the nightmare named Bush ends!

Bless our troops and our country.

Happy Fourth

I shall be Independently celebrating Independence Day, and that's juuust fine.

I have Boris the Bold Russian Blue Cat, the new issue of Vanity Fair, a small steak, and a load of dishes to run.

Life's good.

Again, Happy Fourth!

Hi Scott..

yes, I do have the days counted out (LOL) The funny thing is Election Day 2008 is one week after my 40th birthday. I have dreaded that birthday my whole life and now, I want the days to fly by until then!!

That does it! I'm starting my own washer forum where nat

Well, maybe not.

I hope everyone here has a happy and safe July 4th, no matter where you live.

Relax a little, have a nice, tasty, cool beverage, and be thankful for all of the things you have.

While you're at it, think about how we all might improve things for everyone in the future.

But most of all, have fun.

La, the memories....

Back when I was a kid, my folks would host a big neighborhood party on the fourth, as our yard was the biggest and clearest for fireworks.

Later, it got changed to a breakfast on the fourth, because too many of the neighbors couldn't hold their liquor, and dad was worried about someone setting themself on fire, LOL

Then, I joined a drum & bugle corps, and the fourth became a parade marathon. Omaha is (or at least was) crazy about fourth of july parades. Sometimes we'd do three in a day, all over town.

Tommorow, I intend to celebrate our nation's independence by painting some patio furniture and - in memory of Dad - drinking some beer, while being careful not to set myself on fire. ;-)

Happy Independence Day, everyone!

I remember those picnics Dan. Our neighbor behind us had them for years. Everybody made stuff, there was always a lot of great food and a fun time. We'd do sparklers and other fun stuff after it got dark.
