sewer pump station no. 1

As some one who grew up in Gloucester, Ma., I remember when the cast of Bewitched came to the north shore in 1971, the scenes in Gloucester, when they went to the Gloucester House restaurant, and Serena reanimating the Man At The Wheel, the reanimation took place atop the old sewer pump station no. 1 on Stacey Boulevard, back when raw sewage was pumped direct into the harbor, just down from the Man At The Wheel statue. Also, there were the scenes at Hammond Castle, (John Hayes Hammond, one of the pioneers of remote control and guided missiles, a raging queen in his day, boyfriend of Burgess Meredith and Cardinal Cushing, oh my stars!

Evil characters!

The multi-talented Montgomery could play evil characters so well. I remember a TV movie in which she played a nurse killing nursing home patients for their money. "Hello, I'm nurse Daws. Daisy Daws." She is certainly missed!!

I believe she died from colon cancer- correct me if I'm wrong. Just a note to all of you who need to have colonoscopies- whether coming up or overdue, don't hesitate! Not that big of a deal- find a Dr. that you know is good, have it done. The prep is a pain in the butt, but well worth it.

I have been watching a lot of Bewitched is shown twice daily (unless there is a basegame) on WGN and TVLand shows I think 6 episodes back to back daily. Some episodes I've seen over and over again, but I never tire of them.

I saw the eposide with Carlotta, boy she looked kind of manly, LOL.

I never get tired of Samantha either lol. I DVR the ones on WGN so I dont miss and. Plus I have 3or4 seasons on DVD. How bad is that? I need dvr and dvd just in case I miss something lol.

I'm pretty sure it was lung cancer.I remember thinking that I had never seen nor heard of her smoking habit (if any) posibly causing the lung cancer. I always wonder whether or not those who do have lung cancer smoked tobaco or were victims of second hand smoke.I quit tobaco twenty years ago and never regreted it.I smoke other fun things but not tobaco. It stinks, makes my eyes sting and water, makes me get a severe headache and stinks. It drives me crazy when people come onto my lani and attempt to assume it's a free space to smoke. I nicely ask them to please put it out or go somewhere else. They are usualy polite. Some of the old farts get an attitude but I don't care. I said to one how about if I bring my rottwiler over and have it shit on your porch?? Same thing. They put their but out and walked away with an attitude. One of them got pissed because I yelled at them to put it out as they lit one right where our LP gas pump is!!!

Robert:

"Now that's the kind of entrance I like to make!"

My roommate, is a wiz with makeup and hair, and another friend of mine is an excellent seamstress and could duplicate that dress, and I could possibly find some dancers. The you make you grand entrance, LOL. I'm going to run and hide now. ;-)

I saw my FAVORITE Bewitched the other day...

It was the one where Endora lost her powers because of the
DO-DO Bird, and the powers were transferred to
Aunt Clara! "Oh, I think I'll go sailing!" The street out front of the house turned into a harbor and Gladys Cravitz yells to Abnor, "Our street is a HARBOR! ABNOR!!!!!" What a HOOT!!!!

Her father Robert Montgomery was somewhat notorious for having "named names" to the House Un-American Affairs Committee during the Hollywood witch hunt. I saw an interview with Elizabeth in which she said she respected him as her father, but neither shared nor defended any of his political beliefs.

I never get tired of Samantha either lol. I DVR the ones on WGN so I dont miss and. Plus I have 3or4 seasons on DVD. How bad is that?

I have all 8 seasons on DVD! So that is even worse lol! I put them all on my Ipod and watch entire episodes while I'm exercising on the elliptical machine at the gym. I love the expressions on peoples faces when they try to figure out what I'm watching and figure it out, they think I'm nuts. (ok I admit it I do love being nuts).

There's nothing nuts...

about watching a well-written show. While I'm more partial to the first 4-5 seasons, there are some gems among the later ones.

My favorite is, "A Most Unusual Wood Nymph" because it just seems fun.

Elizabeth Montgomery and Bewitched was one of my favorite shows as a wee tike.
Secretly, I was in love with Elizabeth.
There was a women in our neighborhood who looked like she could be her sister.
Also, I was fasinated with the whole magic thing.
I watch Bewitched shows whenever possible at the gym as well.
Just love it!!

TVLand has been show several episodes back to back, I can sit there for hours and Bewitched. My roommate commented on her oven, that it was really cool the way it opened. I told him what is was, he replied figures you would know that.
