I wish everyone a happy and peaceful Easter and wish you all joy (and heaps of yummy easter eggs too!).

Cheers folks.
Steve.

XPISTOC ANESTI

Wishing all the hope, the love, the finding of one's path,
the forgiveness, the peace, the self-empowerment and the sense fo community that is the essence of this faith.

and let us not forget the symoblism of the Easter egg. Orignally they were painted red only. Red in that the animal who passes it sometimes experiences difficulty creating a new life;the eggs are sometimes blood-stained.

The egg symbolizes a new life waiting to emerge.

So the message is: Creating a new *GOOD*, *PROPER* life for yourself may be difficult, but it can be done.

Blessings to all of you!

Regardless of your religion, I hope you enjoy the peace, hope, and tranquility of Easter. It's the welcome harbinger of springtime; life's renewal.

Hi, I have to play the pipe organ for two church services, one at 6:30 and then at 10:30. Why we Methodists have to have a sunrise service is beyond me? We have a breakfast after the 6:30 service. Happy Easter to all. Gary

A very Happy Easter to everyone out there as well. May you all have a safe, happy, and blessed day. Terry

Gary,
You are a church organist too? When I used to work in the Catholic church, we used to call Holy Week (the week of Easter) Hell week. We had umpteen services. I'm so glad I work for the Unitarian/Universalist church now. Much easier services, good music is appreciated, and they actually sit quietly and listen to the prelude and postlude. My choir is another story! Good luck with your Easter music. Happy Easter/Passover to all!

Here's the easter bunny, Hooray! Here's the Easter Bunny, Hooray!

Ooooohhh one of these days, one of these days, one of these days.
(that's from a Bugs Bunny cartoon)

Happy Easter to all. I'm going to Tenessee tomorrow to see my honey.

He broke my wittle arm.

i was asked at work (large hotel) if i might be interested in wearing the Easter bunny costume, for the kiddies in the lobby. it surprised ME how much im looking forward to it! David

Jason,
I think you are the only other person that remembers that cartoon! It was funny as hell, with the gangster kid. I wanna Eastah egg, I wanna Eastah egg! And the Easter rabbitt, happy and gay! Loads o' laughs!

I remember that cartoon, too! In fact, when I call a certain friend of mine, that's always the first thing out of my mouth!

Then he replies with something along the lines of "Ah yes, spwing, when the Easter Wabbit comes hopping mewwily down the bunny twail, then BWAMMO! Easter Wabbit stew!"

HI Bobby,Thanks for note back. Easter and Christmas are both hell week. I live in a rural town in Central Illinois. I have played for the Congregationalists at 6 in a town 11 miles away, made it back to the Methodist church for the 8 Christmas Eve service, sang a solo and then went to the Catholic Church and directed the choir at 10 for mass. What am I thinking? lol 6:30 and 10:30 this coming Sunday. Nap after that.lol We can share church stories if you wish. Bye for now. Gary

Yes, Happy Easter,

to those who keep it, Blessed Pesach to those who observe it, and Happy Spring to everyone!

Remember, the chocolate and jelly beans go on sale Monday, and unless there are those under 14 around, there's no reason to pay full price!

I participated in Maundy Thursday/Tenabrae this evening at church. I was a reader.

For the potluck, I took the Italian beef, and it went over pretty well. I also took a cabbage salad ("Chinese" Coleslaw,) and a plate of store cookies.

Nothing like an electric knife for slickly slicing the beef! Used my smaller (5 cup) KitchenAid processor to slice the cabbage.

Going to be an officiating Deacon on Easter, and assist in distributing the Communion elements. (I'll be 1 of 10.)
