Charlie Brown's tree

...on a plant cube behind the couch!
and so stragecially placed so nothing can go under it!
My former roomate also walked off with my star for the top, so its really not even finished

Beautiful, just beautiful everyone. Back in my old Italian neighborhood in New Yawk, we used to kidnap baby Jesus from the nativity scenes and hold him for ransom. Such little hoods we were.....ah, the good old days.

Decorations

I love all of the pictures. There are some areas around here that are quite "creative". When you go out into the far hollows here in the mountains, you can find junk cars decorated, trash cans, fences, birdbaths, toolsheds and a host of other things. Kind of cool actually. To each his own, I suppose.

I chucked the artificial tree last year - 8 years was enough for one tree. It was a pretty one though, 7 ft. tall with 1300 lights - it was like a space heater in the living room.

Here is our real fir for '06. I took this as we finished the lights, before decorating. The tree-topper is a vintage 50's flashing "star" - very fun!

I'll show you mine since you showed me yours......

We switched to all LED on the tree this year and it makes a HUGE difference. I used to use 500+ lights on about 8 to 10 strings. This time it's 4 strings of 50 and that's it!

My pic is too big for the site and I have no idea how to resize it so I put it on my photo blog, sorry!

Heather,
Usualy what i do is save them to my desktop, right click on the picture and scroll down to the "Send To" option..I hit send to mail reciepent, check yes to the resize box and when the otulook express window pops up, i click and drag the picture back to the desk top. I then re-save it as the smaller size and voila!

I am sure there are better ways to do this, but this is what i was taught..

Nice tree!

how beautiful all these pics are!

My favorite "non religious" part of Christmas has always been the lights and decorations. Always so pretty!
Two weeks ago we had a foot of snow, and with the decorations out it looked awesome!
Thanks for sharing all the pics!

I love 'em all!!

Thanks , everyone, for sharing your pics!! I have seen Greg M's lights when I last visited and they look even better(if that's possible) when you see them while standing in the front yard. The glow is so warm and nostalgic!

Ron...Oh Ron. It couldn't get gayer EVEN if it were at my house. LOL!!! Looks fantastic.

Gansky1...I love the tree topper. I would love to find something like that.

Glamwales...What an elegant home. Is it an older house or is it new? I love the fireplace!!!

Rich

Thanks everyone so very much for sharing the wonderful pictures. I have really enjoyed them all. There is just something so warm and relaxing about all the lights. Hope to learn how to post pictures one day soon as well.

Calling Glamwales...

What scent is the Yankee candle sitting on the hearth? I will only buy Yankee's because they are the only one's with scent enough for the whole house.

my lights were not on when I took the picture :=(

here's my house during a recent snow. I also have candoliers on every window. They look wonderful at night.
