Just installed this gem last week. Early 1991 EWU1005 reverse rack. These were the last of the updated 04 series with the direct drive pump. By the end of ‘91 these were just a memory.

That's beautiful swestoyz! Why did they have a short production run?
So many gorgeous Maytags. I still have my great grandmothers portable reverse rack. It’s not in service currently, but maybe one of these days I’ll have enough room to have all the toys in one place. This is also a direct drive unit. I don’t believe they made a lot of the direct drive reverse racks before they switched to the plastic tub/standard configuration.

Not nearly as nice as some other members machines, but here are our mid to late 80's Maytag examples. Left to right. A matched set of 712's. A 613 washer. And a DG512 dryer.

Happy Maytag month. A while back I posted about watching Mama's Family, there was an episode where mama had a Maytag wringer washer with a timer on the front. Looks just like my moms Maytag without the timer. Season 4 episode 14. Sins of the mother. Thinking about buying it just so I'll have it, you can check it out on line.
