Are they Latkes yet? Not yet.

No, not that they are prohibited, but this is when we dip apple slices in honey and eat honey cake and sweet apple goodies, symbolic of a sweet new year. Latkes are for Hanukkah in December.

Mickeyd: Whatcha mean how do I write so fast? I stumble all over the keyboard, but typing has improved with prescriptions I take to help partially deal with bad brain chemistry which has many manefestations.

Last winter, on a Sunday, you posted a several hundred word memoir on the drudgery of wringer washing: moving tubs around, hauling kettles of stove cooked hot water, birds turding up the hanging wash...etc,, a a stunning piece, remember!!??

According to the time of the posts, you whipped off hundreds of words in very short order--MINUTES! I've seen you do it again and again. It's such a gift. Why are you hiding it, or am I hallucinating again--damn those flashbacks.....
