Oh, Happiest Thanksgiving,
everyone! I hope you have a great and grateful day.
I'm not cooking this year, and I am a little sad about that, but I'll be doing a lot of cooking next month.
Dear friends (married couple and their sons) are moving to Ohio this week(!), but we will put off the festivities until next month.
You can keep mashed potatoes nicely warm in your slow cooker. Preheat the crockery insert, however.
I preheat my cooker's insert by putting two cups of water in it, and then bringing the water to the boil in the Radarange. While the water is coming up to temperature, turn on the slow cooker to "low" or "warm," depending on settings available. Dump out the water, pass a paper towel over it, and then add the potatoes.
If you're hosting, grab extra bathroom tissue, and for the kitchen, extra foil, plastic wrap, and whatever dishwasher compound you use.
