Just bought this set of harmony house china. Venetian Rose pattern. Service for 8. Has large platter 2 bowls and gravy boat. Made around 62-64. Does anyone know if there were other pieces such as salt and pepper shakers or candle holders or a teapot? Gave around 64.00 for the set. I'll be excited to use these in our new house.

Harmony House Furniture

I never thought to look it up online, but I now know that "Harmony House" was a brand name Sears used in the 1940's to 1960's. I have a Harmony House dresser and chest of drawers in dark walnut. There used to be a matching full-size bookcase/headboard with 2 sliding doors but it was "dumped" long ago as it was falling apart.

Here's a link to "Sears Archives"

My Mother's china is Harmony House Platinum Garland, purchased in the early 1960's.  Rarely gets used, stays in an ancient bow-front china cabinet in the dining room.  She has offered the china to me after her demise.  Although I don't need it and have no idea where I could store it, I don't think it would be right to not take the set.

One of my aunts had Harmony House Mandarin as her china.  I always loved the combination of green and purple in the decoration.  Her younger daughter inherited the set.

Thanks for the responses. I'm not sure if it was made by Homer Laughlin or not. I've checked on ebay and replacements to kind of get some price comparison. Still doing some more research for info.
I would have thought if they made sugar and creamer that they would have made a coffee pot or a teapot or other things. I was hoping someone on here might know what pieces generally came with the sets. Even if nothing else came with it I still got one heck of a deal.

other online sites

I have found two web sites that have vintage china and glassware

vintagefrompaul.com

thecollectorsdream.net

I am having trouble getting the links on this laptop I have another one or two sites but they are on the desk at work. Hope that this helps you out or all the others on the forum not sure of the prices but these are another option rather than replacements. Donald
