Harvest Gold stove and KA dishwasher for sale

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Nice harvest gold.  A self-cleaning 40" GE range.  Very nice.  Looks like a KDS17, one of the 1-level wash wonders.  YUCK!!!  NO THANK YOU!!!  I would want more than a difficult to load DISH washer.  I wanna be able to wash anything and put it anywhee I want to and fill it up.

harvest gold in storage....

We have the P-7 GE 1972 Stove (double oven) in Harvest Gold in Storage (our Garage) and a Ka Imperial Dishwasher HG also.....MMMMM, what a coincidence....

Beg yer pardon,

IMHO the KitchenAid KDS-17A was one of the best dishwashers ever made. Dishwashers not Warewashers. This machine belonged to a family of machines designed for people like me Sainted Mother who would never put Utensils in the machine because "they took up too much space and never got as clean as I can make them with a Brillo pad". A Bob-Load in one of these Classics is a beautifully choreographed minuet of fan-tailed plates, bowls, and silverware on the lower rack, with monkey dishes cups and glasses poised upon the vinyl-coated pins of the upper rack, thank you.   In my Dream Barbie Kitchen of the Future, there will be a KDS-17a ( or maybe even a KDSS {sigh!}- 17a) and a Hobart Undercounter Booster Machine for the pots 'n' pans.

... and that, of course, is if I don't find my GE SU70.

i agree

i love the kd-17 models and think they were kitchenaid's best! i have 7 of them in my collection plus 3 more portable models, the kd-57. after they changed the pump and went with the 2n'd spray arm in the 18 model i gave up interest in them.

give me a kd-17 any day!

I'm with you Bob.

I have 3 "single levelwash arm wonders".

Outside of them being a Dishwasher, I would have been so disappointed if I bought one before they came out with the 18 series. Yes, times have changed, but not being able to put a Large Pot or Mixing Bowl in the bottom rack without the knowledge of NOT loading anything above it in the upper rack would be a continuous disappointment in results Load adter Load. The 18,19,and 20 will always be the Superior Perfomers in my Opinion. I picked up last year in Rhode Island the "Barely Used" and it was barely used KDS17A. It was soooo Out of the Box minty Fresh, but I just sold it as I didn't want to torture myself running a machine 1/2 full due to the routine of how I like to load.

FAVORITE KA DISHWASHER

Would be the 16 series the 17s had timer problems with all three models and they changed to the lousy Bi metal detergent dispensers. I also think the 17s which were built in the 1970s were the beginning of KAs decline in overall quality.
