and don't want to spend 2K, there's an appliance recycler in Branford, CT that has one in his warehouse. His name is Karl, he's a real nice guy and if you want to look at it go to Northeast Appliance Recyclers on Ciro Street in North Branford, off of route 80.

'Retro' means backward -- as in, something newer that's designed to look like it's from a previous era.

Still, it's very cool, and unused. It seems we've been seeing a lot of older, unused appliances being unearthed recently.

I would like to know who in the hell has 220 just hanging around on their patio to hook this baby up. I mean really... I'm the 220 queen and I sure shit don't have a outside outlet!

Ya know, a few hours studying one of these things in person would probably yield enough details to build a pretty good replica for next to nothing. Wouldn't be exact, but certainly more reasonable than dropping a grand for the original. Lots of turquoise GE wall ovens out there. I've seen double burner calrods at the box store. Heavy duty casters (painted turquoise) and a like umbrella could be fashioned too. And there's no shortage of rotisserie motors! Hmmm......
