Be warned though, it only works on washers with four, yes four, legs.

I'm wondering where the tripod and five legged washers are. I must have missed that.

Three and five leg washers

It seems ads are generally aimed towards the lowest IQ range of the target audience. You don't have to be real bright to have or use a washing machine. There may be people who see that ad and wonder if it will work on their machine, then the ad tells them it works on machines with four legs, so they run to the utility room to check how many legs their washer has, and think "wow, it works on washers with four legs, mine has four legs, I'm going to order this!"

If the ad didn't specify which washers it works on, people would be afraid of wasting their money not knowing if it would fit their particular machine. If they didn't specify four legs, people might wonder how many packages they need to order to have one for each leg on their machine.

It also helps to be specific where they go, so people won't throw them in the drum with the load of clothes thinking they'll provide counterbalance or cushion the load, or that you just put them on one or two legs, or that they need to be installed on the motor mounts.

Washer Vibration Pads Etc

I have seen a lot of people use the pads under the washer feet and do not see where they do any good and I feel that having a machine jumping around that is designed to be stationary in operation is likely to cause internal damage from the excessive cabinet vibration these silly feet allow.

 

Likewise the home made stand in reply #1 is likely to cause damage to the machine.

 

It is better to reinforce the floor if vibration is a problem.

Lately, I have noticed that more people are posting videos about washing machines that should already be common knowledge. Just last week, I watched a video of someone cleaning their washer who did not know that the softener dispenser can be removed from the agitator. It's sad that people now have to go on TikTok to do the most basic things on their washing machine.

That's not "sad" that's progress.

People can just type in what ever they want/need to know in a search engine and a variety of answers, in several formats instantly arrives.

I wish I had that when I was younger.

Video Reviews

For instance I've seen both a written review, and at least one video review by someone different for a particular washing machine model that complained about detergent not dissolving completely in the detergent dispenser.

The problem was the dispenser was clearly marked for liquid detergent only and they were using powder. The instruction specifically said to add powdered detergent to the bottom of the tub.

(The washer model was a Maytag Bravos impeller model, which is junk anyway, but still, don't downgrade it because you don't know how to read.)
