Launderess, did you see the following page?

MORE ratings, lol!

Exploder, the Kirkland is Costco's house brand.

Sudsman, I had the STRANGEST experience with a friend of mine who sold Amway, but I did like that "SA8" powder she sold me...

It was in a plastic bag packed inside a cardboard box and worked really well!

I really, REALLY like Costco's products, and they have a great return policy...it's almost no questions asked (not that I would do that...)

If you have a Sam's Club or BJ's, I hear they're pretty decent too.

SA8 is always for sale by someone on fleaBay. In fact many Amway laundry and other products are found there as well.

Yes, did see the ratings for non-HE detergents on the following page, but wanted to keep my post on thread topic.
Will say was gobsmacked that CR ranked Tide with Bleach way down with Tide with "Bleach Alternative" now top dog, followed by Tide Coldwater. IIRC Tide HE even rated above TCW. What is going on cannot understand. Unless P&G changed the formula of TWB since last year, how could it suddenly go from the top spot. Also Seventh Generation finally got out of dead last place, and was given a decent rating. Not as good as Tide products, but still better than it used to be.

Launderess, do you remember how they set such great store on the fact that they tested TCW in cold water last year?

Maybe their original assertion that warm water depresses TCW's scores proved to be correct, if they washed in warm this time!

I'll check THAT little detail later....

As for TWB powder, very odd...P&G is not one to forgo trumpeting any changes to their formulas, good or bad...

The only thing I can think of, is, remember my theory about that new "High Performance" Tide with Bleach that I believe sudsman posted about? That they'd foist a lower "performance" variation of TWB on us beleaguered consumers, and keep the "premium" formula (read: the one we were used to using, all along) at a higher price point, in select stores and the industry?

(Paging Alex Jones!)

Seriously, I would not put such machinations past P&G.

Never put any thing past P & G I learned that many years ago. Did you use the reg S A 8 or the Bioquest. I really liked them both but now I think I will try Bioquest again. I too Can't understand why tide dropped in ratings. The last time that I used bioquest I remember that it gave all the work a nicer softer feel than the regular S A 8 did.
