Re: Kenmore Washer Color:

This is definately not a Gray Color on this Kenmore Washer. They did do what I call "Gun Metal Gray" when they were still Manufacturing Belt-Drive Kenmore's but I don't recall any Direct-Drive Kenmore's being that Color. It actually looks like it was just a poor Pix taken of a White Color Washer. I do happen to have a similar matching Washer and Dryer in the Almond Color and the Control Words are in Red. The comparable White Color Machines have Blue Control Words on them.

Grey Lady Kenmore In Philadelphia......

"mistereric":

Yes indeed...... that is a direct-drive Lady Kenmore. This is a 1992-93 model (a step down from the TOL 3-Speed Electronic Lady Kenmore of that year).

But now, I am not sure as to what the color is. It could be white with a lot of dust on it. Or it could very well be grey. But I don't recall seeing a grey washer no where back in 1992 though.

Kenmore (and Whirlpool) had a Platinum color in the mid-80's, it didn't last long, but it was cool. They also offered a Toast color which was a medium brown/tan.

I have the 92 & 93 catalogs that show this model, but no gray color offered in any of the model lines. It does look gray though, doesn't it?

Lady Kenmore!

My Aunt had this same exact washer for 18 years. It was a beautiful machine and she only had it repaired a few times for minor things. This was a well built machine. It was a unique color. She is unique also and she had also had the poppy 1/18 set. So I guess these could be considered both unique machines.
