Help Support :

Believe me...it's been gnawing at me to go get it...broke down and emailed the seller to see if they still have it. Keep your fingers crossed...maybe my first "vintage" appliance!

Wow!

Matt, this looks to be in great shape.
Most of the time from heavy use, there is rust right under the door. This dishwasher seems to be very clean.
Go for it!
It is a great dishwasher. And on top of it all, is Hygienically safe.

OoOoh!

A Roto-Snack! Very cool machine, and once you get good at loading it, a good performer. Lots of drama and loads of fun, and hygienic dishes.

If you get it, be sure to grab your box of Cascade Complete and sign-up for Gansky's au-gratin casserole challenge! ;-)

.....and when you are 10 years old (as I was at the time mommy dearest had one) your biggest thrill [besides the underwear section of the Sears catalog] is to whip to the left and open that door latch and open the door to catch the roto-rack still spinning!

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

OK I caved and emailed the owner...planning on picking it up this weekend. My very first vintage appliance!!!

Awesome Matt!

This is exciting!
I am glad that you are getting it!
You will love using it!

OK...I got it!!! Pretty good shape overall...few cosmetic issues inside. Got the rust under the door like was mentioned before. :( The feed hose for the upper rack is crumbling as well. Guess I've got lots of learning to do on this one!

Issues

The rust is a perennial issue on these; it's like the Roto-Rack Badge of Honor. You can decide if it's worth touching-up, or you can go wild and repaint the panel after sanding/rustproofing what's there. D&M's forte was neither thick porcelain nor rustproof materials, which makes it all the more fabulous when you find one that's in otherwise good shape.

When you say the hose to the upper rack is crumbling, can you post a pic? If I recall, it was a plastic tube that came from the bottom-left of the tank, then angled up and over to where the spray tube for the Roto-Rack was located. Show us what's there, and we can improvise a solution...
