cfz's suggestion:

Good idea. I need to get more Compacts --
On this piece, I added a spine (bracket) from a vintaga hair dryer.
For your suggestion, no added spine. I would leave the original dust bag cover, but cut a hole in it for a smaller viewing bubble. These aluminum vacs cut like butter.
...and use yellow paint (smile).
BTW, I have a yellow submarine in my collection made from an old canister vac.

I like the prop at the rear. It would be neat to mount one in a vac's exhaust stream. It could turn while you were vacuuming much like those props mounted on trailer hitches turn while the vehicle goes down the road, letting you know the driver would rather be piloting.

Hey Mark.

What was the fan those brass blades came from?

How about those runners?

It looks awesome!

There are so many uses for these compacts!

Brandon - Blades and Runner

Blades from a GE reciprocating desk fan. The fan motor label includes the legend "Alternating Current Fan Motor." I just love when current alternates.

Runners from Westinghouse canister vac - put on backward.

Neat! Thanks for the info!

Was that GE fan the greenish desktop one? I think I recall seeing an old brass blade fan on the shelfs last time I was there.
