HELP!Candy bearrings.

Hi, as some of you may know i have bought a new candy Aquamatic 8 washing machine, ive tried to get to the bearrings but i just dont know how to take the drum out, its such a complicated machine inside.
Does anyone know what i could do? last resort would be a repairman but i just dont want to do that!

I have no experience with Candy Machines, after looking inside my WM31, there is two springs on top of the concrete weight, remove these and the weight, then you may be able to see better, there could be a join with screws, or could be a bit on the end of the outer tub which comes off.

That machine looks like it's ready for the junkyard. I'd say you got ripped off.

I think you have a lot more than bad bearings there. Looks like the spider could be broken. I don't know how old the machine is, but unless there's something about this machine that you are really passionate about, it's not worth fixing. At least IMHO.

The mold on the rubber boot means this machine wasn't looked after at all. The soap dispenser looks disgusting and will definitely require a good cleaning.

Even if you could get this machine fixed, it looks like you have a big cleaning job ahead of you. Replacement parts alone for this machine would be many times your initial investment if you did decide to repair it.

If you can, see if you can get recourse for this machine. The seller fraudulently sold this machine as in working condition. There's no way this machine could have ever worked, especially in a state such as that!

Another thing, what were you expecting for 31 quid anyway?

Does this machine have any kind of special value to you?

If you want to learn about how these machines work and are seriously considering dis-assembling the machine to learn how it all works, have at it, but I honestly don't see the value in spending so much time on a machine with so many issues.

The washer in the video has a broken drum spider for sure.

I agree the seller did sell it fraudulently, and boschlover1997 should report the seller to Ebay, or where he got it, and really try get money back.

well, the machine is perfectly healthy apart from the bearrings, the motor sounds fine and it fills ok, just a little dirty and the bearrings. the spider is fine ive checked andi dont want to take the springs off orelse it wil collape onto the motor and pump.
And ive been condsidering this as he actually said he used it

sorry to ask, but are you sure you know what the spider is?

It is the shaft that sticks out from the inner drum, it consists of the shaft which runs through the bearings, and three arms from that shaft to the outer edges of the drum.
You can't check it till the inner drum is out. That is the inner, spinning drum - what Americans call the "basket".

If that video is of your machine, then the way the inner drum flops around indicates that one arm of the spider is cracked through. There just won't be that much movement if the spider is OK. Really bad bearings can cause some extra movement but nowhere near what is shown in that video.

When you get the inner drum out of the outer drum, make sure you go carefully over the spider looking for cracks. I have done bearing and spider repairs to dozens of machines over the years and recently got caught by one where I didn't notice the crack in the spider...put the mongrel back together and bang, bang, bang... fortunately the spider was only $40-ish for this machine. (an LG).

ahh right, in that case i didnt, but i will try my best to repair it and it shouldnt be expensive for such a small candy machine as parts for my hoover (candy made) arent all that expensive and thats full size

Ive got the drum apart, and its the drum shaft and bearrings, luckily ive already ordered the bearrings, so now im going to order a new drum shaft in the new year, they are for £43 pounds and im prepared to pay it
