Okay, I know I can be construed as, well, a little off, but I swear I'm not making this up.
Some time in the early 70's I think, there was a laundry additive that came in a square plastic bottle shaped like a little teeny washing machine. The top of the machine popped off and there was a regular screw cap underneath it.
I'm not sure if it came in different "flavors", but I think there's a good chance the bottles came in different colors. I definitely remember a copper colored one. Not coppertone, but copper.
Anyone else remember this? I don't think it was around for very long, and I seem to remember there being a TV commercial for it.
Or should I just call the men in the white coats?

Hi Veg, I thought I was the only one who remember this. The plastic bottles were shaped like washers and they came in White, Coppertone, Avacado and Harvest Gold.

The name of the Detergent was AD-IT. My mom used it for a while and I saved a few of the bottles, unfortunately I don't have them anymore.

This product might have just been marketed in the Northeast.

Hey, Robert! Thanks for the info--and for confirming the fact that I'm not crazy (all evidence to the contrary notwithstanding.)
Do you remember anything else about the stuff? I thought it might have been a "laundry booster" rather than a detergent? And who made it? Pretty creative company to package it like that. Too bad you didn't save the bottles!
'Course, if it came in turquoise, you'd have to give it to Cory, and if pink, to Bethann!

Speaking of laundry boosters, does anyone remember a liquid called "Complete". I seem to remember a purple bottle. You added it along with detergent; or in place of detergent???? Saw it at a friend of the familys' house. IIRC she also had a Blackstone washer; all I remember is the 2 BIG dials on the front of the machine and no rear console. Am I crazy about remembering "Complete"??? Veg............ chime in anytime!!!!

You want confirmation of sanity from ME?

Anyone want to step in here and tell him just how wrong that is?

P.S. I don't remember Complete. I don't remember what I had for breakfast, either.
