Hey guys I’m currently in perth and there’s a dryer at my dad‘s house that needs repair, I’m not sure what’s wrong with it, but even with the timer on it won’t power up if it didn’t come have side collection a couple of days before he went into hospital

Dead dryer

I would start by taking the top off and start checking wire connections, door switch timer control connections at the junction block where the cord connects to the wiring harness etc.

Compact dryers like this have problems with wiring connections often times timer could be bad of course but that’s easy to check or bypass to see if that’s the problem.

Good luck with the dryer and I hope things improve with your dad.

I somehow thought it was the reverse

And I think it might be the door switch as I can hear it Click but it doesn’t then start, and I’ll check whether cable goes into the dryer which is behind the dust cover for the heating element

Yep that dryer on the bottom is a Australian made Hoover,

And the creda is a rear vent dryer But it has a little filter in the front, which in my opinion is actually quite weird I would’ve thought that They should have put it in the very back of the dryer as the dryer does have a window,
But it’s obscured by the lint filter

And we’ve swapped them around, as we wanted it to be more stable,
