I have a 1964 Frigidaire refrigerator model fpds 14t-2. I'm in need of a new relay for it. The tech talk does not have the part number for it listed. I found on line that it is #5876838, but I pulled the one out that is in there now, it is #5900856. I have found a few on ebay, but none matching those #'s.

So is there more then one that would work for this model?

I'm not at home now but please remind me to check Sunday ( you'll just have to add a post in this thread!) and I'll look at my books and the relays that I have... I supposed you removed it to check the part number? Did you notice if it says 7/32 hp somewhere on it? Still got the original Meter-Miser compressor?

I couldn't find your current relay part number other than in this interchange manual and according to this, both parts interchange.

The original part number seems to be the replacement one you got. I couldn't find a parts manual that used your part number as an original part number for any refrigerator or freezer but I don't think it matters much.

Have a look at this picture from my interchange manual:
