My crappy Siemens ventilated oven has a problem: the oven fan “rattles” because is it not fixed to its axle.
For what I have seen, there is not a strong or fixed bond between the fan and the axle (crappy design…) it seems that the fan is not held by the bolt (I hope this explanation is understandable).
I am thinking of gluing the fan with a J-B Weld epoxy that should withstand 300 °C (572F); the oven itself cannot go higher than 250 °C (482F) the mechanical stress is minimal, I just need to keep the fan in place.
What do you think? Is it such a stupid idea?
The J-B Weld epoxy is in the link, it seems to be a German version of some other J-B Weld epoxy.
