Where'd that agitator go?
There have been several agitator-less toploaders on the market.
Well, technically, they all do have an agitator of some ilk -- a mechanism to impart motion to the load of laundry -- but it's not a traditional "centerpost" agitator.
Long ago, there was the Bendix PowerSurge, and a Crosley version of it.
More recently (early 2000s), Whirlpool's Calypso (also under the Kenmore label). Maytag's Neptune TL arrived shortly after. These are no longer in production.
Available now, Whirlpool's Cabrio, Oasis (Kenmore), and Bravos (Maytag). And Fisher & Paykel's AquaSmart sibling to them. GE's Harmony and HydroWave HE. Haier's Genesis. Possibly others.
Oh, and the Launderall long ago, and the Staber available today ... which are both toploading tumble-drum machines.
