Hopefully it will clear up any operational mysteries or you - fingers crossed that your new vintage acquisition gives good service for a while longer yet.
Good thing is that these machines are eminently repairable, unlike most modern machines which head off to the tip after a comparatively short lifespan.

For posting the user manual, not much has changed from the first liberator booklet if memory serves me right, same cartoon lady anyway.

Fantastic machines the 18 series, very easy to repairer and very robust never give much trouble except for drum bearings which are easily replaced.

Photos of my 1851/03 which will almost be identical internally.
