LOL...ok Patrick! I already sent him a message letting him know I'll be buying it from him. Just waiting on selling this Kenmore Ultrawash portable that I have so I have the money.

Since we're on the subject...the Frigidaire portable works perfectly. I touched some super glue to the back of the knob so it wouldn't slide anymore. It is perfectly aligned with the cycles now so I was very excited about that. It actually runs through cycles pretty quickly and gets everything really clean! The dispensers all work also. It's a perfect machine and you'll be getting it back once I get the Kitchenaid. :-)

Wow, beautiful kitchenaids, and members that help make others dreams come true. Way to go guy's. AW.org is a magical place. arthur

Dream...Dream complete!

Thanks so much to Ritchie here in Portland! I was able to meet with him today and picked up his absolutely beautiful Kitchenaid portable dishwasher. Ritchie was able to give me a good history on the machine (basically how little it had been used) which explained how perfect its condition is. I'm not kidding this machine looks brand new!!!

For anyone who doesn't know Ritchie, he is a delightful gentleman who, not only really enjoys the music of a 1-18 but has a stunning late 60's GE washer in avocado no less. I just need to convince him to put me in his will for that one!

I had a great time getting to know you Ritchie and seeing those wonderful Mieles you have. I'll definitely have to try some of those Euro detergents also. I really do hope you head out to my place sometime. I know Patrick would love to meet you also. Thanks again for such a wonderful Kitchenaid and a great visit!

I will post pictures of the machine as soon as possible and I can't wait to do some wash in it!!!

I can't wait to do some wash in it!!!

Congratulations!! But Jon, that's not a washing machine. You do wash in a washing machine. You do dishes in a dishwasher or wash some dishes.

Well, yes but still way more washer than dishwashers. Since you mentioned it though...the Frigidaire's short life with me must come to an end. I'll be bringing it by this weekend. :-)

Now I've got to figure out exactly what to do with the other Kitchenaid you gave me. I did notice these models are slightly different. Yours is the Energy Saver IV model and Ritchie's is the Energy Saver V. The only main visible differences are a couple of cycle changes and deletions. "Light wash" is not on the V model. Maybe someone who knows a lot of about these machines will chime in here and describe some of the cycles and how these Energy Saver models worked differently.

And Patrick, if you don't want the Frigidaire or the other Kitchenaid back then I'll be finding a home for the Frigidaire and parting out the KA. Let me know what you'd like to do because I, unlike washing machines, I only want ONE dishwasher and that's it.

Jon

Yes, bring that Frigidaire back!

But I'm not concerned with the KitchenAid. You may be able to use parts off of it or sell/give to some other needy soul.

And just wait til you see the progress and new items I have over here!

Sounds good...

Kitchenaid will be parted out and the Frigidaire will be on its way back to you. I plan on saving pretty much everything but the tub itself for space reasons. Tony wants the black panels for the new kitchen when that finally happens, etc.

By the way the super glue on the Frigidaire knob only last about a day. We'll have to think of some variation on that. Maybe drill a small hole and then fill that with glue or something. That machine works very well otherwise!

I'll give you a call over the weekend!

Jon
