Help with a Maytag Washer

My harvest gold Maytag washer CA606 goes squeak....squeak...squeak,squeak,squeak at the beginning of the spin cycle. It stops as the spin increases. This started about a month ago. Found the washer at an estate sale. Really love it. Anyway, what could cause this noise? Easy fix? I'm willing to try anything myself.

Possibilties...

Maybe some new belts and motor glide springs will clear that up.

Cleaning.

Clean the motor and transmission pulleys, and make sure the washer is level.

My Maytag did the same thing. I replaced the glides, springs, and belts. The squeak went away after that.

The belts and drain hose were replaced about a year ago when the washer was placed into service.
