Help with determining age of vintage Oster blender

So, here’s one. We have an old Oster blender (in a lovely shade of avocado green). And we love it. It’s a beast. But we’re curious as to how old it is.

I tried calling Oster, but they were of no help.

I don’t see a serial number, but I do show a service number of 869-15H.

Anything specific I should be looking for?

there might be a date code on the switch to tell when the switch was made. Looks mid-1970s era

I'd say somewhere in the 70s as well though it could very well be late 60s. Never could figure out why some had glass and some had plastic jars..That one looks plastic so probably to keep costs down later on

Late 1970s.  My folks had one just like this, bought brand-new from Consumer's Distributing in 1977!  Theirs was harvest gold.   

Oster made this style into the early 80s as I recall.

That looks like the blender some friends got for a wedding gift when they married in October, 1974. They wanted Avocado kitchen items to go with their green flowered Corelle dishes. I got them a coffee maker.
