Help with rennovation

Hi folks. I wish to attend to the outer cabinet of a (white) FL vintage washer which generally looks grubby but more importantly has some surface rust on it. A related thread is `Classic Hotpoint' in the Imperial Section.

Would anybody here have any tips on how I should do this?

Spray Job

Hi Nick

I would suggest a good sound down with fine steel wool and then a car primer with a good spray paint from Halfords, I would pick classic white (think Ford Anglia), I think it gives a nicer finish than brilliant "New" white for a classic machine...

Similarly, is there a car spray shop near you, Keith has done a few of his this way (powder coating) with great results, ...
