Its always fun when we get together and at Lances there are so many washers to choose from :)
He has added to his collection that Servis 110 I left it for him as the next day went and got a 108.
The Hoovermatic is running lovely a new mount installed the 110 was just in need of a good clean all its insides are preserved with nicotine!
Had to fit a new heater to the 108 and thats now sat in my kitchen after doing a weeks wash :)

I am pleased to say that

I managed to get the 1950 Parnall from eBay . That means that one of my 1960s Parnalls will have to go due to lack of space so if anyone is interested in a Parnall EW50 in full working order please get in touch.
I wonder who bought the AEG twinny on eBay . Was it one of our members?
Had a great day with Austin , as always. Did lots of washing and had a heck of a laugh at the same time.

Parnall

Nice one Lance another one to play with :)
Lets hope you manage to make some space pretty quick !

Catch you soon

Austin.

Ps Chestermike would you happen to know if the Servis compact supadry tumble dryer has a seal around the door?

Vinatge

Lots of good stuff surfacing about at the moment, glad you got the Parnall Lance looks in fine nic, can see those pub napkins through that wringer now!!

Not heard about the AEG twinny, again that looked one of the early models.

Austin, the Servis compact dryers had the seal on the cabinet opening rather than the door, hears a pic to se show if that helps, why?? have you gotten another Servis Stash??

Servis Stash

Not really Mike just got the 4 Twin tubs but that Servis dryer you have a picture of is the wrong supadry its an older version that matches the Servis Compact wringer washer that Lance found and I am convinced there should be a seal of some sort.

Vids

Great video, the steam rising from the Servis and the so soothing sound of pulsators at work nice, very nice thanks for that

Spot on

Thats it but its Cream in colour so may be a slightly older one ?

Now does that have a door seal?

Lint bricks....

Now thats a lot of lint...!

It never fails to amaze me how some people never do the simplest of maintenance to a machine, surely they must have noticed it took a long time to dry???

I can with 100% of honesty say there is no where near that amount of fluff in the dryer I was going to vacuum out the innards but it was not worth it I gave it a wipe out instead.
Thank you Mike for clearing up the lack of seal issue I was wrong in assuming there was one..!
