Henkel releases Persil in Mexico

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Mexican Persil

I've looked into it and realized that it's a totally new Persil. A detergent developed with German technology, made specifically for the Mexican consumer. With the new Persil launching soon, Henkel is repositioning it's other brands. Viva's now a midtier brand, MAS is specialized and 123 is still the value brand.

Will check Rancho Liborio and Avanza here in Denver over the next few weeks.

Oh I am wondering if they will have that at the Mexican grocery stores here in the States. And I wonder just how much they will charge. I did pick up a bag of 123 and it does a decent job. If they do come in cheaper than Persil that one gets and pays dearly for from Miele then I will buy the cheaper stuff. Why pay more!

Powders suitable for both machine and handwashing?
Plastic bags instead of boxes?

I'm sure Henkel has done the research, and bet the product will use their buyout of Dial and 20 Mule Team Borax.

Henkel Products on NA shores

Supposedly they "have no plans to bring Persil to the North American market" just yet.

Not sure why but as you say they seemed to be trying to take Purex out of the budget brand and into the mainstream. In Canada it seems to have worked. Last month Purex was the number two best seller in the laundry segment.

I want to see P&G get some real competition and up here and Henkel bringing their tech and patents looks to be the only one that can do it.

I wish all AW members could come together to the feild of washers just like in that commercial you posted, I think would be a blast.

Would be nice if the detergent gets here in the US.
