I founnd this site in a discussion on another forum, it is interesting, and it only gets worse as you read it. The most interesting thing about this site to me is his ideas on what vacuums actually do. Something to think about next time I "surface clean" my carpet with a very powerfull vacuum.

In reading his claims-it boils down to he is just trying to sell you ANOTHER VACUUM CLEANING SYSTEM-that can have the same problems as the others he was talking about. The "BIG POWER" sounds like an interesting machine-but it is another water trap vacuum like Rainbow,Hyla and Delphin.Would the HEPA filter in the "Big Power" get clogged with odor causing dirt and bactteria just like the others-and moist air coming from the water primary filter?i don't have the odor problems he describes and I have how many vacuums? In the Big Power site--How does the Big Power function as an "Air conditioner"?Does it have a refridgeration unit to cool the air before relasing back to the room?Sounds like a misleading claim. With that couldn't any Vacuum cleaner "Air condition" the air?And oh yes--in order to work properly any water trap vacuum has to be properly cared for by its owner-user-its not a vacuum you can throw into the closet in between uses. You have to empty the primary water trap filter container-rinse it,allow it to dry and the machine is typically stored diseassembled to allow airing the container-if ytou assemble it still damp-odors will result and it will ruin the rubber seal under the powerdome to the water trap. And the seperator still has to be checked and cleaned no matter what they say.I check mine after each use of the Rainbow-if its dirty-into the dishwasher it goes! The all plastic ones can be washed in the dishwasher-wouldn't recommened it for aluminum seperators.

Surfaces, darling... surfaces!

I just love that there are people out there who deeply and earnestly believe that they can remove all the dust from their world.

I bet they still believe that Wonder helps build strong bodies 12 ways...

I'll clean later, if I have a better offer.

I am the porduct of TWO OCD dirt-freak parents.

I look at it this way. When I die there will be dust everywhere including in my eyes.

Better to go out and enjoy life and the people who surround one. People count.

Machines and dirt will always be around. Remeber we will all ALWAYS be one step behind the latest toy.

I stopped reading this

Within a few moments because it just seemed to be kind of BS.

Vacuum's don't pull up dirt? Hmm, not exactly sure of the bag fulls of dirt that I have thrown away the last 25 years, must be my imagination.

Sure some dust comes out of the exhaust that the filter does not catch, and sure no vac is 100% effiecient. But dust raises too by walking on the carpet or sitting down on the couch. It is not like dust is just POURING out of the back of your vacuum like in the Munsters.

As an "adult" asthma sufferer for years, I have never felt any difference in before or after vacuuming, and I do all the vacuuming. Sure, different people are affected differently, but I do not like excessive dust. Sorry, I don't buy that vacuuming just blows dirt around. Whenever I hear a title that says "things xxx people don't want you to know" it smacks of BS to me.

Don't mean to be a downer, but if the article gets worse as you go along, I don't need to go much further!!!

I got as far as the first page before seeing he was selling something. "Why vacuums don't work properly." Most door to door vacuum makers love this line, and the never call their vacuum a vacuum cleaner, its always a "cleaning system." This guy really is full of it too, as you all can tell

Oy, more "home cleaning system" propaganda!

I knew from the minute I read the first line of "Why Vacuum Cleaners Don't Work" he was advertising *something*.
