Oh, Lord...

...Someone should tell that poor range seller that whatever they're replacing it with, they're not getting forty years out of the new one! Forty months will be more like it.

That's a fairly rare beast, too. You don't see many in Avocado, and for some reason, you don't see many GE 40-inchers of that vintage without P*7 self-cleaning.

OMG!!!

That Hotpoint Supermatic 40" range is the one I had growing up.
The range also had an electric griddle.

The buttons lit up for different settings. Only difference was the front right burner. It was controlled by a dial with different color markings to show the heat intensity.

The left oven was about 1/3 the size of the right oven. That left oven was used a lot.
