Yes, it is a Collaro. It predates most component systems so I would guess it is meant to be run through a radio. That is how I use it, into the gram socket of my mid '50s HMV table top set. I also have a Collaro reel to reel tape recorder which contains 2 motors identical to the one in the RCA. The RCA comes with 2 motor pulleys to run on 50 or 60 Hertz. The radiogram under it in the photo is my much modified RGD, which I think is a 1948 model. The guy who gave me the RGD fitted a Quad pre-amp, Quad FM tuner and an American made David Bogen amplifier. He also swapped the turntable from the original 78 only one to a Garrard RC88 3 speed.
