Hey guys fairly new to this forum , and you guys are very helpful and friendly :)

I own a Hoovermatic Delux twin tub, The model is 3316L Its the Australian version for the UK 3314 with some minor differences , my issue is that its worn out the spin tub buffer seal, ive attempted to get this seal through stokes australia (after market) but its now obsolete, which means im kinda up the creek.
ive tryed just a standard oil seal ( wishful thinking)
no good .
is this part still available anywhere or has someone came up with some sort of solution ?
cheers ,tomo

Same Issue.....

I have a Canadian made version of this this machine that I recently acquired and have the exact same problem.
Everything works fine but the spin seal buffer is shot and leaks like crazy.
Tried to silicone seal it but that didn't work.
It's been sitting idol for months as I don't know where to acquire the parts and now think from your post that I may not be able to get it at all.
It needs all new belts as well.
Would love to get it running as it's a cool looking machine though I must say.

spin seal repair....

Hey this may be helpful ,
i found this seal which does the job with a little tweeking.
this is the link for the part -

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/310650767235?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

you will also need a 12mm oil seal (12mm inner and 35mm outer)
and a 32mm walking stick grommet . the original seal was 35mm this new one is only 30mm so needs building up. with the ring made from the grommet the outer diamiter of the seal is 34mm close enough..
here is a pic of the seal sitting in place.
