HeyUp Laddies! STPP Detergent On It's Way To Tuscon

As promised sent out a packet of the Ecolab phosphate based detergent to Nate's for the lads and lassies at the wash-in to play with. Wish could have sent more but the stuff is quite dense and even a small amount was dear to ship because of weight. Still hope managed to do the group proud and there will be enough to go around. Stuff is quite concentrated so start with small amounts and work up from there. Nate has dosage directions along with other particulars.

Oh yes, one more thing; being a phosphate detergent be quite careful with washing items that have been laundered in other types of detergents. STPP will pull out any detergent/soap residue from textiles which one may assume is over sudsing caused by over dosage. If not careful there is serious risk of suds-locking a washer (ask me, I know), especially when doing items such as towels. One may not see much froth in the water, but when the spin starts, whoa Nellie!

Hi Laundress. I have a big container of STTP. When I make my own brew, I add a bag of Viva to big rubbermaid container, then 3 or 4 cups of STTP, mix together and I have my own brew.
PHOSPHATES RULE!!!!

Launderess-----I can suds-lock my 'flamin Queen (std.size solid-tub) with a load of towels and a good measure of Viva. Hate to see what would happen if I dumped some Foca in it!
I wouldn't even THINK of putting such detergents in a Whirly-'Kenmo B/D or any model of Rollermatic!
My Highlander has had a few moments, but typically has no problem----even with a full load of jeans-----splashy!

And speaking of splashy-----strangely (or maybe not)the Kelvinator is not phased by typically high-sudsing Mexican brands! (Of course it typically uses a gazillion gallons of water to rinse with!)

One More Thing:

Because of the phosphate content, have used this detergent for general house cleaning as well. A bit into a tub of hot water makes a great soak for the electrostatic plates of my Fedders "Trion" air cleaner. Instructions say to leave the thing sitting for two hours, but am here to tell you with this detergent all the crud,dust and muck lifts off the plates at once; and because STPP holds soils in suspension the stuff stays in the water and does not resettle onto the plates. Usually need no longer than 1/2 hour if that to soak the unit clean. Mind you the water is gross, but all the muck goes down the drain. Imagine the detergent would be good for soaking things like blinds, or other stuff coated in dirt. Probably could even wash one's car as well.

Have offered before but found no takers, however if after trying the detergent at the wash in, should anyone wish some of their own, please just speak up. Have three or four tubs of the stuff and since one uses so little don't really think I'll ever finish it all by myself.
