Hello everyone I hope all are well. I have a question which I hope one of our European friends may answer.
I use the German Persil detergent from Henkel, the everyday type not megaperls or anything and the last 2 washdays I have noticed something funny on 1washday I used it in the front loader and not too many suds as usual but on washday no.2 I used it in the twin-tub and there was a lot of suds, could anyone advise on why this is so,I thought perhaps the pulsator action of the twin tub might stir it up more than the tumbling of the F.L. is this feasible or something else maybe?
Cheers everyone
Steve.

Steve,

Oversudsing is caused by too much detergent. It doesn't matter if you use a frontloader or a toploader, but you have to find the balance between the amount of water, the amount of clothes, the dirt in the clothes and the amount of detergent. Also the hardness of the water is important. Try adding the detergent bit by bit next time you use the twintub. Make sure you don't use more than it needs to get the water to feel silky.

Hope this helps,

Louis

No Suds

I was told some years ago that the idea of 'automatic' detergent, as it used to be called was that there were no suds at all during the wash and they only became apparent during the spin cycle after the wash. I have a h-axis TL so I don't see whether there are suds or not only very occasionally when I have to add something. I never see and suds in the machine and that, I beleive, is how it should be. When using low suds in a twin tub, I always got suds for the first or second load and then they dissipated. Even adding further detergent wouldn't bring them back.
