Hobart KA Portable in Victoria

This one looks interesting. Can any one tell me how old it is, and what model? Anyway I hope someone here gets this Kitchen Aid.

I think those were introduced by KitchenAid in the late Sixties with the 16 series and then, after a little less than ten years, the 17 series was the last to see those beautiful non-convertible front load portables. Both GE and Kitchenaid featured two types of front-load portables(convertible and non), top-loading portables and front-loading built-ins.

Those were the days. Makes sense, once the generation of kitchens without built-in dishwasher space and hook-ups disappeared, portables were all but doomed.

I think that model is The Patrician. I have the Regency Model. When I got mine, the sediment strainer on the fill line was jam packed with crud. It washes so well, it'll take the rust of a 48 Buick Bumper.
The Patrician was the BOL machine. I believe it has Full Cycle and Rinse and Hold. The Regency has the Soak Cycle and an adjustable upper rack.

IIRC there was the Regency model that toploader55 has pictured above which has full, soak, and rinse hold cycles. Then there was also the Deluxe modle that had full cycle and rinse hold. Looks like the one for sale is the Deluxe. I as remember Hobart continued to make these all the way through the 70's even after in '77 when they introduced the new "load as you like" KD18 seriers. They did these models with the same KD18 type racks

The dishwasher in question is a Deluxe KDD-67. That model was just like the one my parents had when I was growing up. Like Toploader said there are just 2 cycles...FULL and RINSE HOLD. Very good machine and fast...just 30 mins for the wash /rinse portion. I used to bypass the dry cycle by opening the door to let the dishes flash dry. Our hot water was plenty hot at 155 degrees. Washed well and the racks were flexible enough.
