Has anyone heard of or subscribe to the publication "Home Appliance"? The publisher is Dana Chase Publications. It's published quarterly. 4 issues are $14.99, and 8 issues are $24.99. Before I subscribe, I wanted to get some information, if anyone knows anything.

Home Appliance Magazine

drhardee:
This publication is an excellent concept. However, I dropped my subscription after only 4 issues (quarterly issue cycle). IMHO I feel they are WAY behind the times. You can learn about the newest machines on this and other forums in far more detail even before they hit the market; whereas, with this magazine, by the time they present "new" appliances (at least in the case of washers, dryers, and vacuums) it's old news to anyone reading the laundry and vacuum forums. I've seen it take them 6 months to present something that was all the buzz on the forums a year ago. Take a look at their site at www.appliance.com and you'll see what I mean. If only they'd stay on top of what's really new, what's coming into the market soon, and in the near future, it would be an excellent publication. Just my two cents.

I receive APPLIANCE magazine.

Yes I receive "APPLIANCE" magazine. Actually I get it for free as I am in "the industry".
It's fun reading, but I wouldn't pay for the subscription. I usually take it to lunch when I have nothing else to read. Their reporting is a little bit behind, but they do offer unique insights into the industry and have some really exceptional charts as to trends of sale and information about parts vendors etc. If you can get a couple of people at your workplace to sign up, you may be able to get the magazine for free.
