Anybody here use/own/see one of the "Home Queen" wringers made in Saudi Arabia?

Yes; I had one and I was not overly pleased with it.
Instead of the Home Queen brand, I had the Speed Queen made by the same firm in Saudi Arabia (this was back in about 1998/1999).
My biggest complaint was the wringer. It was very sensitive and would pop open more often than I thought it should. The safety feature on it allows the operator to give a gentle tug to release the rolls and stop the action. I found that if I sent a bath towel through that wasn't flat ... or maybe a bathroom mat ... it would pop the rollers open.
My rollers never fit "tightly", either. When I had the wringer head engaged, I could see through the two rollers. There shouldn't be any gap. The clothes were still pretty wet after going through, especially blue jeans.
The washing action was pretty good; as long as it wasn't overloaded. What was unique was that the directions told you to put the detergent in first, then the clothing and then fill with water. The water levels were marked along the side of the agitator.
All in all, I didn't think it was the best buy around. I did get some enjoyment out of it, however. But, when I went back to a Maytag wringer, the difference was night and day.
I complained about its performance to the firm I bought it from and after they said that I could return it, at my expense, and have it looked at and I thought that I would just give it away to charity instead. I think I used it off and on for about 3 years.
Hopefully, they have changed the performance and quality of this machine since I had one. I always thought it sounded "tinny" when it was in operation.

Your profile mentions you have new Maytag wringers. I'm going to assume they're reconditioned. Also, I've seen adverts for Crosley wringers in the past here and there. Any experience w/those? Reason being when I move into my own house I'd like to get a wringer, but have been wondering what the "current" offerings are, etc.
