Hoover Autocare

I remember that Hoover made two washing machines models both called Autocare. The model numbers were A3146 and A3156. A3146 had a spin speed of 800 rpm and the A3156 had spin speeds of 500/800/1100 rpm. Were these models made exclusively for a particular company/body (i.e. electricity boards, department stores, catalogue companies) or were part of the main Hoover brand?
