After trying unsuccessfully to sell the above machine on eBay with no interest, I have decided to break it up and scrap the remnants. I hate to do this to a classic machine but nobody wishes to take it on.

Does anyone need anything? Stephen has bagged the timer window.

Hi Triunphtoledo

yes a shame you've had no interest in the whole machine. I have 2 of this series, so really ought not to take on another. But if it is to be parted out, I would certainly be interested in the drum, backplate and outer tub, if that is available.

In terms of collection, I would be passing on the evening of sunday June 26th, if you can keep it until then.

Thanks

Mathew

Just had a thought, further to our conversation earlier, what are the wheels like? I guess they've gone flat but if not I can find a home for them.
Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian.

Hi.

I'd be interested in the door interlock mechanism if it's still serviceable and you're able to remove it fairly easily.

Cheers,

Mike.

Hi Mike

Yes the door latch is easily removed, but remember om this machine the plastic moulding that supports the pivot between the rod and the button on the panel is broken. I do remember there being a repair kit on ebay some months back, and I have also made up a repair from some box steel in the past.

But yes if Rob is happy for you to have the mechanism then it is easily removed, especially once the tub is out for me and motor and pump are out for Ian lol.

Bits

Matthew. I think I'll be around on the 26th. The drums and bacjplatea are yours providing that I can have them back again if I need the bits.

Motor and pump is reserved for Ian and any Logic bits for me.

Wheels are flat. The interlock plastic link is OK. It is the bit on the fascia that is broken.

Thanks Rob

for the offer of the drum/tub etc. If you feel you may need them in the future, I quite understand and perhaps you should hang onto them. I have two machines in mind for these parts, one for a friend whose machine requires the drum and backplate and another the outer drum, so once fitted these would be difficult to return to you. However if you need to keep the thermostats, grommets thats fine, also I have a couple of pulleys and backplate seals if you're thinking those are the parts you may require, so can happily give you these parts from my stock.

Thanks again,

Mathew

Re

Hi Mathew. I had not realised you had an immediate use for the parts. I do not, so you may as well take the parts to keep other machines going. The thermostat is of no use to me, as its the all in one type, instead of the separate ones that my Logic possesses. This machine also has the plastic pulley, so I presume that it has the later bearings fitted, if that makes any difference. On holiday at the mo moment but I should be back by the 26th... R

Interlock plastic link

If you could save this for me I'd appreciate it.

Drop me an email when you are back and we can sort postage costs.

Cheers,
Mike.

Thanks Rob

Yes it's more or less immediate use, at least for the tub, it doesn't matter which bearing type, though I have spare parts for the taper roller type, this will hopefully save me some time as I can swap out the complete drum in the owners house, rather than have to carry out opening up the tub and all that envolves. Hopefully I will get to do the repair early in the summer when I get some time off.

Thanks, I'll send an email so we can exchange details about collection,

Mathew

Soap tray

Hi, do you have the soap tray still / can I buy it off you please? Presuming it is the same fitting as the Early Electrons that is, i need it for my newest addition - the A3172.

Cheers

Chris

It's stripped

Right, the machine is now in bits. Keymatic here is the tub now out of the machine. It looks in rust free order but it does need bearings. I've kept the plastic pulley and spacer for my logic as I lost it and had to improvise but the rear bearing fell out in the dirt. Anyway mail me on triumphtoledo at the mail that is hot dot com so I can make sure I am around on Sunday for you to collect. R
