Hoover Turbomaster

can somebody tell me about the Hoover Turbomaster? My mums never really been successful on the hoover front namely due to me. As a child if i wasnt in front of the washer i was certainly behind the hoover! We been through a fair few but one thing got me. What exactly was under the hood of a turbomaster? My gran mum and aunt all had them back in 1990 and they all sounded slightly different for some reason. My aunt and gran had the basic models whereas we had the vari speed model. Was it a hoover senior under there or some other motor? Im sure they used the dirty fan method however being 575 watts they never seemed as powerful as a senior which was the 1st upright i ever pushed as a 5 year old before it was replaced by my gran. The hose feature was a pain to. Not very long. Any replies very much appreciated thank you Nick.

Housekeeping Alert

Yes and since I see a few vacuum cleaner posts are still being posted to the Super Forum here so I need to make a clarification. On Sunday when we went live with Vacuumland I changed the automaticwasher.org program so that when you a user clicks on "Create New Thread" and you get a list of topics to choose from, if you select Vacuum Cleaner you get a message nicely asking you please post your vacuum related topic in the appropriate forum at Vacuumland, with a easy link to click on to take you there.

From this point on any vacuum related posts that get "accidentally" posted here at AW.org will be deleted, since I have no easy way of moving the posts between websites.

Not that we don't appreciate our vacuum friends, we love our vacuum friends! But now Washerville and Vacuumland are twin cities and we can visit each other any time we like by crossing simply crossing the Internet River Bridge. This will just help us keep a tidier house here since the Super Forum is a bit out of control sometimes anyway. Please do alert me via email to any vacuum posts that end up here in case I miss it. Thanks for everyone's cooperation.
