Hoover Twin Tub fill hose

Would anybody have a spare fill hose for a Hoover Twin Tub that they'd be willing to sell me? I have the end for my 0519 that plugs into the rubber port on top of the washer, but I need something to fit over my kitchen faucet. I could probably rig something up, but I'd like to find an actual hose if I could.

Ebay has them on occasion, but they always seem to be in the UK or Australia, and the shipping to North America costs more than the hose.

you can always just grab a simple snap couple from Lowes...and a standard washer hose, cut one end off which fits inside the opening perfect....

for me, its a secure fit at the faucet connection....

Gave Up On A Hoover TT Fill Hose Ages Ago

Original that came with mine was already cracked and falling to bits and soon thereafter departed this world. Since then simply use a normal washing machine fill hose with a "snap" quick-connect at the faucet. Mind you my Hoover TT is a manual operation, if you have the model with automatic filling/rinsing your needs may vary.

When you say "snap coupler", do you mean a unicoupler adapter? If so, my kitchen faucet has one installed for my KDS-58. I guess I could use a washing machine hose with it, but I'd like to find an original Hoover fill hose just to have.

Alternatively, I could use an actual unicoupler and then would be able to snap it right onto the kitchen faucet, but is there any place that sells these, without having to buy a second hand dishwasher/washing machine that is connected to it?

It's a 0519, which has the automatic rinse.

Too bad, barcoboy, I don't have any of those little hoses you are looking for, for I would have given one to you (I personally use a ''regular'' black rubber fill hose that we can buy at most hardware stores).

Regarding the sort of hose you're refering to, think that's the kind much like the one sort on a photo I found on google: the shape is sort of ''tapered'' at one end and these are pretty much flexible (pic below). Am I wrong?

These are somewhat harder to find. That being said, hope you might grab one somewhere any time soon!

Lowes web site was useless...so had to go to Home Depot.....in any case they can be found at both places.....

I have 3 TwinTubs....one has the auto rinse.....this is the part that I use.....check the size of your current faucet adapter, and buy one to match so you don't have to switch the aerator out everytime!.....

but the same.....connect a standard washer hose to this and cut off one end, it should fit your input for the spout perfectly....actually I think they sell a utility hose with only one end...your choice of what to get, and consider length....

NOW....for the non auto rinse units.....I have put together, using the same unicouple, a faucet sprayer with hose......pieces to adapt and connect one to the other can be found at Lowes as well.....I got all of my stuff at one location....it can be done.....

but for all intent purposes....I brought the faucet to the machine, ready to open the spinner, spray the clothes and close for the spin....ALL without reaching over and turning the faucet on and off, back and forth...

did anyone not understand this part?....do I have you confused?

and since were on a topic of looking for parts.......for mine with the auto-rinse....I need the spout part that you lift and turn, to autorinse or fill the wash side.....anyone have this part available?

Not at all, Martin, Know exactly what you're up to.

I use the the Garden Hose Multi-Spray Nozzle with 10 different selections. What fun to recognise how each squirt pattern most resembles different washer brand's fill flumes. Oh, this is a perfect imitation of a Maytag flume; this one's definitely a Blackstone; this one is Jetcone's 56 Easy to a tee, etcetera.

Will demo tomorrow.

yeah Mickey......I have a long ten foot washer hose with an adapter for my laundry tub using a garden sprayer......great ideas for cleaing out trash cans and large pots and such, or washing the dog......the older double tubs should have had this feature long ago.....guess we have to do it ourselves...

I didn't want to confuse these guys too much yet......but almost anything can be made, done and hooked up for any application you need...

especially when the stock boy at Lowes tells me what I need to connect and hooked up can't be done.....watch me!....they can't think any further than what that part was originally made for.....but we know different....we should have jobs there....show them all!

I hear ya , Man. Always twinkle when they say that.

I use mine in the garage machines to fill and spray rinse in the Maytag Twin Tub, and the conventionals, and one Frigidiare that is not plumbed.

Interesting Yogitunes, your adapter in Reply #6 would work for me. I guess I should bring my faucet adapter with me and make sure that it fits properly before buying one that isn't the right one. And sorry, I don't have any spare fill spigots.
