Hoover Colours

What a brilliant colour we never had those over here just sterile white ones :-(

It shows what Hoover thought of their UK consumers tastes

Gary... about the colors

It's because you guys had everything else! You had heaters and kept the stainless steel throughout the run, and had many more interesting models than the handful here. After 1971 all of our Hoovers were poly-tubs, the stainless died in 1970 with the last of these 0510 (white) and 0512 (copper) machines. You guys also could have the rinse feature in these older machines and a better drain hose setup. I'd gladly take those features over colors :)

My only real complaint with these machine is that the drain on these "dangles" for lack of a better term over the wash tub. The hose is a long thing that runs all the way to the pump so if a leak springs, good luck. The wash action can also suck it into the wash tub and if it's brittle to begin with, it can spell disaster. It's only made that way so that it can be concealed under the wash lid. I'd love to get this setup from a UK model where it has that detachable drain section there in the upper-right corner of the wash shelf instead.
