This looks to be rather nice!! I can hear it screaming "save me!" It probably needs a spin belt... and the spin belt is still available for the plastic tub units (which I believe this is).

Does he know how to use it!!!!!

I wonder if the owner realises that twin tubs do not spin automatically he has to transfer the clothes into the spinner and turn the timer!!!! still it is a nice looking little unit anyway.
Cheers.
Steve.

If it were closer, would bid just for the manuals and other extras. Saw this item last night while "trolling" eBay, but that unit looks like it has lead a hard life.If I'm not mistaken, isn't that rust along the top of the cabinet?

As for the seller not knowing how the washer works, one has to assume since the owner's manual is right there, he/she has at least peaked to find out what is what. Then again considering some eBay sellers these days, that may be asking too much.

The lid switch could be bad on the spinner and easy fix to just jump it out of the circuit if the spin can be controled from one of the dials.

Well I picked up the Hoover this evening and after removing the spin cover, I discovered two socks wrapped around the base. Once removed it went into spin with no problem. Machine is in mint condition and has been in storage for years.
It works really good and spins clothes almost dry.

that's great

Glenn, I think that's just great. Back in the day, our boss in the appliance repair shop had a "check first" list for each brand. And "Socken gefressen?" was right up near the top for these Hoovers.
Sound advice for most spin-dryers, actually. If you don't have the spin mat or Waschfee or whatever, I have found the collapsable stainless-steel steam racks (without the legs :-)) that fit into saucepans ideal for the job. They unfold in the drum, they don't rust or stain the clothes and they keep everything in. Water spins out through their holes perfectly.
What is the cycle like on that one?

Congrats Glenn.

I really would like to own one of those as well. Bet they are a fun toy to play with. I know Launderess has one, and has made numerous comments on how fun they are.

I have been playing with this wonderful machine all day LOL. I plan to put this is my Rv. I measured the unit and it will fit perfect. Now when I go camping I can bring a bit of the vintage with me and keep the laundry from piling up.

A word in your shell like ear.

Make sure the flooring/RV is level, especially when spinning or the washer will "travel". This is especially true when spinning heavy items/large loads and or the spin load is out of balance. Also it might be a good idea to lay in a supply of "wee-wee" pads or old towels for use on the floor around the machine during wash day. Make no mistake about it, using a Hoover TT is a great way to clean your clothes and your floors at the same time.

Well done, and wishing you and your Hoover TT Happy Trails!

L.
