whew

very nicely done mr parker. there is one cleaner that ive seen in your collection pics, that i didnt see just now. its a very very lovely Decade style upright in various shades of wine/maroon. (assuming humble stance) ive never seen one like it in person, and its prolly the most beautiful Decade ive seen. can you find it in your kind and generous heart, mr parker, to maybe take a Decade (and its variations) photo? it would be appreciated, esp since moving those cleaners must be a little trying. thanks, David

Supremacy

That must be what you're referring to, a Decade 80 style machine from about 1991 or so in a beautiful deep maroon color
It does not appear in the current pics because its has not been on display for a while. Currently its packed away in on of the bins under the old timers.
I'll see about getting som pictures of it when I have more time and its not month end at work

Hoovers Galore!!

And all the rainbow colours!!!

Joe: its an all consuming hobby, I started off with 1 kirby tradition when I found this site in 2001, now look!!!

Urarachu: the Maroon DAM (or our Convertable) is the last non power drive model produced here, its made in France, so lucky to find that..

Fred: is that a Hoover Junior 375 from the UK that you have?? or where they manufactured with you??

Jeff: amazing as ever, how do you dust them all!!!!

Dust?? Am I supposed to dust them?

Mike, I don't dust them as oft as I should, funny too how amazingly dusty they get too, considering that room is a "non-traffic" room. The only times I am really down there is to do laundry.
I recently discovered something called a "Swiffer Duster" that works very well. I usually dust them in sections, as I don't have the patience or attention span to doo them all at one time.

DAM behind model 66

That would be a DAM made for our JCPenney department store. Hoover private labelled vacuums for Penneys in the 1960's and 70's

great collection

Jeff, I can't wait to see your collection. I noticed that there is one that I bought my mom for a present in the late 60's early 70's and a Hoover that my grandmother had. I can get a dolly from school for the washer move if you want, and I have some heavy moving quilts too. Gary

Jeff, I never saw a convertible with a cord winder. Is it legit or was it an add-on? Gorgeous collections everyone. It's a shame there aren't more Eurekas in your collection, Jeff. (laughing and running like hell)
Bobby in Boston

Bobby, Bobby, Bobby....

There are Eurekas in my collection, I have 3 Montgomery Ward Eurekas, and maybe 4 Eureka upprights.
The Convertible with the cord reel is JCPenney, one of two models Hoover private labelled for them.
Hoover did one cord reel Convertible for themselves, model 704-01 in 1970. They made right around 5000 of them.
a very rare machine today!

Hoover Pictures

Wow...the vacuum collections look great. I could not resist adding a few of my own here.

What is this??? More Hoovers?

Some more of my machines...the oldest one is on the end of the shelf here...a model "N" from 1916. Oh did you notice Hannah Hoover the keeper of the machines?

Hoover Appliances

Hoover made just about anything that plugged into the wall starting with an iron in 1947. They were going head to head with GE by the early 1970's. Then came 1977 and Hoover pulled the plug on the houseware division.

HOOVERS!

What wonderful pics!
Tom: In the convertible pic -post 124737- what's the gold model? It has to be something special.

Also: do you or Jeff or anyone else have the Convertible with the cord reel? Hoover, not JCP! And if so, pics, please!
