Hoover Keymatic 3226

Mathew brought up his sloping front Hoover Keymatic A3226, all the way from Cardiff, and it certainly proved a hit once the water valves where repaired and a few tweeks where made!!! a few of us have these in restoration mode so it was great to see one fully working, very quiet in operation and a delight to use!!! 740rpm, 8lb washload and using revolving drum and the famous Hoover Pulsator in the back of the drum!!

The Award

Mike a massive thankyou to you for all your efforts in providing us all with an excellent weekend, truly wonderful.

But if one moment sticks in my mind it is when the"Our Lady of the Boiling Pulsator" award was given to you, and seeing you shaking as you fought to hold back the tears of joy when you stood up walked to the middle of the room and told us that now you have been given this prestigous award you were going to help the needy in poor countrys and save the world from all known diseases, truly a touching moment Mike

Mike

Looks like you all had a great time and I am glad to see the square door Bendix went to a good home. Hopefully I will make it to a wash in at your house one day!! Next time visiting relatives on the Wirral I will pop in for a visit..!!!!

Chester Weekend

Great pics lads.

I wish these wash-in weekends were closer to the Midlands, I would like to see some of these collections. I really like the Bendix 7147B you have there, was it the one that was for sale on ebay?

Oovahmatic...

Mike,

Thanks for a fantastic weekend! Was superb meeting you all, great company with a great bunch of people. It was great to be able to go back to my childhood and use the 3 machines I knew the most when I was a wee lad - memories came rushing back. Not to mention losing my twin tub virginity - video of that to come shortly on youtube, have well and truly been bitten by the twinnie bug and have decided to actively search for one on ebay! And of course we have all learnt the lesson to be more careful with Tesco Handwash powder after the sudscake incident!

Thought I had taken people pictures but hadn't, think I was too involved with all the machines hehe, but I have got the customary moneyshot of the Bendix with Persil automatic, just a shame we didn't have a baby on hand!

Thanks again for a stellar weekend, and thanks to everybody who made it possible - and not forgetting thanks to Al for all his culinary delights!
