Beautiful machine. My sister had one very similar years ago, I was always impressed with it. Wish I could find one now! I have a similar model dryer that needs a mate. Are there any of these washers still running out there?

As others have stated, I like the new PODs.

My grandmother had almost this exact machine. The features were a little different, but everything else was the same. I was very young when she had this machine, and it died when I was like 6ish. So, I have limited memories of it. All I know is that I loved it...I can still hear the sounds it made. But of course, I never got to watch a cycle. Damn it. It would be fantastic to see or hear this machine again.....

It would be fantastic to hear this machine again:

It would be for sure. We had a 1964 Silhouette model that died in 1972 when I was only 2. It is the one washer in my life that I never got to watch or hear. The closest I have come is watching the See It Wash video of Robert's 56. I don't know if there is much difference between them, but I would love to see a video of the coaxial tranny Silhouette.
