Hello! I've not been on here before so hope I'm posting this in the right place.
I don't know if this is of interest to anyone but we have a 1980s Hotpoint tumble dryer to give away - a Reversomatic Dryer De-luxe + Creasecare in almond. It was left in the house we're currently living in and seems in good condition. It worked the one time we used it (about 2 years ago) and I believe was used regularly by the previous owner. Cosmetically some of the plastic trim down the sides and on the corner of the lid is a bit broken and the door release is sticky. It is clean and seems to have been well looked after though.
We've rarely used a dryer in the past, preferring to hang washing up, but with a very young baby that's becoming impractical. Given its age and the length of time it has sat unused I don't want to press this one back into service without an overhaul to check that it isn't clogged up and nothing inside has deteriorated over that time. I don't have the time or know-how to do that myself and rather than pay someone else to do it we've decided to put the money towards replacing it. If anyone on here does know how to overhaul it (or knows better than me and feels it is safe to use without) you're welcome to have it. I wouldn't mind a hand moving the washing machine slightly when it is collected
