Hi guys,
I finally got round to dry testing out the pristine Hotpoint 9540 minus a door today (I borrowed the door off the matching 9330 dryer which I picked up today), however it has one issue where it will not advance through the cycle - I set it to a spin, and after 5 minutes of distributing I turned it off as it was obvious the timer wasn't advancing itself. I set it to the last portion of the spin cycle (where it clicks on to do the fast spin), and it spun for however long I would leave it rather than the 3 minutes before advancing to the off stage. I tested it out on the short spin, and the interim spin before the final rinse and the timer still won't advance.
My question is, is this an issue with the timer itself or is there anything else worth investigating first before I spend £100 on a new timer?
Cheers, Jon
