Help Support :

Hi Alex.

When I look at the photos of it, it makes me a tad emotional too!
Peoples hard work has resulted in a wee bit of magic and the machine does look superb.

Will try and arrange for it to be in the right place at the right time, for your next visit.

James, Mark, Chris and Paul.

Thanks for the kind words. I really wondered whether I wasted money when I bought the machine.

All turned out right in the end.

Paul
p.s I am sure you will find another 1509 Mark. Just give it time and put out the feelers again. You and me know that they are still out there.

I mentioned my dad!

Having done a grand job with the kickstrip of my 1828/02, I enlisted the help of my dad with the 1509/05.

1828/02 below...

One of the final jobs to be done was the respraying of the console wraparound.

The original was too far gone and so Mark provided a better condition set, but this too was heavily pitted and flaky and needed sorting.

Call to dad and another can of Peugeot Midnight Blue was procured and the job done...

Have decided to leave the solonoids plate in unrestored condition, to provide a small reminder as to what the wraparound looked like when I acquired it...

The completed machine is just perfect, well done to all who played a part in its transformation.
Bravo.

Cheers for the best wishes guys and thanks to all involved.

Its a nice thought that, after years of searching, of the machines in the picture below only one model doesn't have a representative in preservation!

I woonder where those final model 1823 cold fill only Zanussi's are?

Grand job...

Still amazes me that you guys can find a machine from the wood works, then bring it back to life looking good as new! LOL always get excited to see what else is hiding in this big wide world ;) Fantastic job Paul.

Looking good! Those amethyst Hotpoints were always stylish in my mind. The only top loader I would have to be honest. There is a Hotpoint toploader on Ebay at the moment.

Hi Paul, well what can I say, it just looks stunning, congratulations. It has been amazing watching this story unfold, from it being spotted, picked up and then restored. What with this, your Hoover Automatic De luxe and Lees Hottie, it makes you relise that no matter how bad a machine looks there is always hope. look forward to seeing it in person soon.

Rich
