The completed machine is just perfect, well done to all who played a part in its transformation.
Bravo.

Cheers for the best wishes guys and thanks to all involved.

Its a nice thought that, after years of searching, of the machines in the picture below only one model doesn't have a representative in preservation!

I woonder where those final model 1823 cold fill only Zanussi's are?

Grand job...

Still amazes me that you guys can find a machine from the wood works, then bring it back to life looking good as new! LOL always get excited to see what else is hiding in this big wide world ;) Fantastic job Paul.

Looking good! Those amethyst Hotpoints were always stylish in my mind. The only top loader I would have to be honest. There is a Hotpoint toploader on Ebay at the moment.

Hi Paul, well what can I say, it just looks stunning, congratulations. It has been amazing watching this story unfold, from it being spotted, picked up and then restored. What with this, your Hoover Automatic De luxe and Lees Hottie, it makes you relise that no matter how bad a machine looks there is always hope. look forward to seeing it in person soon.

Superb!

Hey Paul,

Glad to see her looking like she should again, there's really something majestic about a Hottie TL! Damn those water meters, but maybe you could save water in other ways - strip bathing in the sink, building an earth closet in the garden etc perhaps!

Fantastic that she had seen little use though - wasn't that the case with the 3236H also? You and Rob have definitely a right to be proud of your epic rescue and rehabilitation of both machines!

And if anyone knocks the Hottie for being environmentally unfriendly, you can always whip out a 'before' picture to show that it decomposed faster than a front loader in the same situation...

Wow. Great restoration. We had a 15790 from new when i was younger did about 16 years solid service with no real probe until the end when the gearbox got noisy.
Then we had a new one think it was a 96702 and that was RUBISH! had a new motor and gearbox within the first 2 years. 3 pumps within first 6 years. new programmer after about 8 years. and it wasn't used any more than the other one in fact probably less. I lived in a house of 6 adults so the machine was on nearly every day.
